Day 14

Mom had a pretty good, but busy day today. She met with an RN in training, her pulmonologist, oncologist, infectious disease specialist, a new hospitalist and managed to squeeze in the occasional (and involuntary)  short naps.

She got a lot of info, but the most important thing we learned is that she is still on track to be going home by Thursday at latest. 

Of all the test results from her broncoscopy that have come back thus far, they have all been negative for anything outside of the aspiration pneumonia, neutropenia/neutropenic fever and compromised immune system. Which is great news. Some tests will take weeks to get back, but we are hopeful they will also be negative.

She also really wanted me tell you all that Dad went to work today wearing one tennis shoe and one dress shoe. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤪 Bless his heart. 😌
