I See Your Pain. It's Big. But Your Courage, It's Bigger...
Hi all-
Not much to update you all on today as mom is between treatment phases. She wrapped up her fourth round of high-dose chemo and has been feeling pretty tired and sick since then, but still very positive.
On Tuesday she will go in for her radiology scan to get set up for phase two. Sometime after that (date still TBD) she will meet with her team of doctors to determine what phase two will entail exactly and when it will begin. We are still expecting some combo of radiation and chemo, so we will keep you all posted as we know more.
She is doing as well as can be expected and still so greatly appreciates everyone who has reached out.
I'm going to leave you all with this quote from Rachel Hollis that I came across the other day and it made me think of mom. I've had two other people actually send it to me and tell me they thought of Ter-bear when they saw it too, so I took it as a sign that I needed to share it. π
"I am still here because I refuse to let anything or anyone decide what I get to have. I am still here because I will not let a nightmare have power over my dreams. I am still here because I didn't allow the hard time to make me weak. I willed it to make me strong."
Have a great week friends!
Maggie
