Esophageal Cancer Awareness Month

April is Esophageal Cancer Awareness Month, which is important because it is one of the fastest-growing cancer diagnoses in the US.

The increase in cases is especially concerning because esophageal cancer is often diagnosed in late stages with low survival rates. An estimated 15,000+ American's will die from esophageal cancer each year... and my mom 😇 was one of them.

If you have extreme acid reflux, chronic heartburn, weight loss, or pain in your throat or when swallowing - please, please do not wait to see your doctor. There isn't anything I wouldn't give to go back in time and force my mom to see someone earlier. 💜
