Day 11

Not much to report today. 

Mom is still in the hospital and I am still an anxiety-ridden mess.

She plans to enjoy a visit from the birthday girl (Aunt Patty), Dad and Hailee this afternoon followed by a tasty Jamba Juice smoothie and a good nap. 

We have learned that mom will remain in the hospital until, at minimum, late next week as we await results from her bronchoscopy. While they correctly identified her aspiration pneumonia, they are very certain there is still something else causing an infection. 

Because of her compromised immune system, excessive exhaustion and the fact that we are still unsure of what is causing her infection, she has asked that everyone except for immediate family refrain from visiting her at this time. While your desire to see her warms her heart, she doesn't want any of your icky germs ya know? 😷 

Her fevers still hover around 100 but they have been holding off on giving her Tylenol in hopes that her body will fight it on it's own. She wasn't able to give me any updates on her platelet, white blood cell or neutrophil counts but said she would try to get me some numbers for tomorrows update.
