Heartache That Don't Stop Hurting

While mom's PET scan results last week didn't show any cancer/tumors in her brain, her oncologist was worried about her consistent nausea and ordered a brain MRI which she had done on Tuesday. 

Dr. Alqwasmi confirmed last night that there is small metastatic tumor (less than 1/10 of 1 inch) in her brain. Very small, but not news we wanted to hear.

Still no results yet on the two markers needed to get her approved for immunotherapy. We hope to know more by mid- to end of next week. We will keep you posted. 

After a terrible night post shoulder radiation last Friday, mom's pain (while not gone) is somewhat in control. Despite the fact that her arm remains basically useless, she is managing it like the tough cookie she is.

Aunt Patty and her dear friends are organizing a day/time for a cross-country (mom has friends everywhere) moment of " prayer" (in whatever form that is for you) to put all our positive vibes and energy into a miraculous cure for mom. If anyone deserves to be in that elite group of 10-15% of people who have success with immunotherapy, it's her. Stay tuned for an update from Patty when a time and day have been determined. 

On a side note, on behalf of mom I ask that you all refrain from calling her. It's so amazing how many people are reaching out and want to talk to her or visit her but please, if you want to get a hold of her, do so via text, email or a message on here. ❤️ She WILL get back to you... it might just take a little longer than usual. 

Please do not lose hope. I know mom hasn't - and we will never stop fighting.
